Monday, November 6, 2017

Staff Present: Peter Davidson, Marina Superintendent; L,eah Flughen, Management Aide
Call to Order: Mr. Paulison called the regular meeting of the Marina Advisory Committee to order at 5:31
P.m.
Action on Minutes: The motion was made by Ms. Emerson and seconded by Mr. McDowell to approve the
minutes of the 10/02/17 regular meeting; the motion passed unanimously.

Discussion Items and Possible Action Thereto: Cot S Christi Marina District, Foundat
Ms.
Emerson explained she has the documents to finalize the organization's tax identification number Parkinzllr
Marina Events: Mr. Davidson advised that the City has opened Northbound Shoreline near Sherrill—P"a-rkand
added head in parking. Mr. Davidson explained the parking behind the Art Center ofCorpus Christi does not
belong to them and can be used during Marina events. Corpus Christi Yacht(.,'It,jb will need to begin
communications with the Art Center soon. New Marina Office: Mr. Davidson informed the board at present
there is no funding for a new marina office, but we have blueprints ready for when funding is acquired.
Rebuilding the haul out facility to include a marina office is in the Marina business plan. wMarina. Facebook

pg),g: Mr. Davison advised the Marina does have a Facebook page and the City is working on becorning more
active on social media. Live Abo5j[LgR4tq: MS. FlUghen advised due to Hurricane Harvey the Marina has
seen an influx of live aboard tenants, going from 9 live aboards to 22.
Committee/Staff Reports: none
Director's Report: Mr. Davidson commented on and/or answered questions regarding: Marina revenue,
expenditures and occupancy. Mr. Davidson advised the Columbus Sailing Association is in the process of"
procuring donations of funds and services to raise the Nina and have it towed to Aransas Pass for renovations
by the end of November,
Identify Items to be placed on Next Agenda: Presentation on the 2018 World Youth Sailing Championship,
Marina dock repairs
Confirmation for Next Meeting is: Monday, December 4, 2017
Adjournment: As there was no Further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:07 p.m.
