Discussion about CCISD's application
Smoothie King approved - Dr. Ana Paez motioned; David Keith seconded; all in favor
CCISD approved without condition - Dr. Ana Paez motioned; Rick Hayley seconded; all in favor
B. Set Date for Goal Setting Workshop
11/21 from 12-3pm;Where?

VII. Chairman's Report
A. Kite Festival Report
• Estimated attendance 1,000
• Mayoral attendance
• Maybe change time to 12-4pm
• Due to rain days leading up to the event required a shift from Cole Park amphitheater to space
between Kids Place and amphitheater and it turned out great!
• No wind until 2:30pm but temp was GREAT!
• Misty's volunteers were great,Zumba was a crowd pleaser and jazz band was good
• Overall comments and suggestions:
o Once give-a-ways were gone spectators didn't want to sign commitment cards
o Everyone loved give-a-ways, need to have enough stuff to hand out throughout the
time
o People were there on purpose, brought their own kites, brought their own
lunch/picnics
o Kites for sale was a good idea and success
o Maybe have t-shirts for purchase next year
o Maybe a H2O station?
B. Proposed Initiative—Mayor Nelda wants a medical city wide health challenge
Wade suggested to measure weight loss and hours per week active
Add to website, logon to database, self-registry
