I. CALL TO ORDER—called to order at 12:04 p.m. by Kimberly Cook.
II. ROLL CALL—The recording secretary called roll and announced quorum
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Regular meeting, May 12, 2016—Ana Paez moved to approve the minutes
as submitted. Jacqueline Hamilton seconded. Minutes were unanimously approved.
IV. Public Comment— None
V. BUSINESS FOR DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION
a) Tiffany Montemayor, Program Coordinator with Tobacco Prevention and Control Coalition
• No Show
b) Traffic Engineering Presentation on Possible Siclovia Sites— no shows, move to July
c) Letter of Support for Nueces County Recreational Trail Grant Application—Jacqueline
Hamilton moved to support and Victor Betancourt seconded. All in favor.
VI. SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS
a) Programs and Events—Co-marketing with event with Texas State Aquarium, Victor to assist
Kim, Kites and Bikes will be on November 12th starts at 11:00 am, the race start at 8:30 am
b) Finance & Marketing — Didn't make the deadline, will maybe try for next year
c) Research and Policy— Healthy Business Partners Draft, review and provide feedback
VII. STAFF LIAISON'S REPORT
a) Procedures for 5010— Research who is responsible? Who is in charge of By-Laws? Banking
contact? Where does funding come from? We would have to designate people to take over all
the responsibilities.
VIII. IDENTIFY ITEMS TO BE PLACED ON THE NEXT AGENDA—July 14, 2016

• Park Update on outdoor initiatives with sale too

Ana Paez moved to adjourn. Misty Kesterson seconded. Motion Passed. Kimberly Cook adjourned the
meeting at 1:04 p.m.
