I. Call to Order
Meeting was called to order at 2 p.m.
II. Roll Call of Board Members
Board Members Present:Bud O'Bryan, Mike Warner,Julio Sanchez, Billy Largin,Karim
Salighedar, Clinton Bailey and Jim Mokry
Board Members Absent:Sean Rodriguez, David Mathews and Stacey Gallagher
City Staff Present:Joseph Elliott. Stephen Draper and Catherine Gana
City Staff Absent:Ronald Bounds
Ill. Address Absences from Regular Board Meeting,March 10,2011
Mr. 0'Bryan made the first motion to excuse Mr. Gallagher and AR. Largin's absences.
Mr. Salighedar made the second motion;all were in favor.
IV. Approval of Minutes from Regular Board Meeting,March 10,2011
Mr. Largin made the first motion to accept minutes as written. Mr. Sanchez made the
second motion;all were in favor.
V. Review, consider, discuss, and possible action concerning proposed Draft Ordinance adopting
2009 International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, International Fuel/Gas Code,
International Energy Code,International Residential Code,and Local Amendments Thereto
Mr. Elliott, City Staff wanted to revisit tables P3002.1(1)Above-Ground Drainage and
Vent Pipe and P3002.1(2) Underground Building Drain and Vent Pipe of the
International Residential Code. He feels that the cell core pipe with ASTMF numbers
891 and 1488, need to be omitted from both tables because they are easily damaged when
handled resulting in leaks.
Mr. Bailey made the first motion to support staff's recommendation. Mr. O'Bryan
made the second motion;all were in favor.
VI. Identify items to be placed on next Agenda
Staff and Board members had no new items to add to next meetings agenda and suggest it remain
as is.

VII. Building Official Report
Mr. Draper reported that the draft of the ordinance is ongoing and it is still in Legal
Department's hands;we are putting pressure for them to complete. We are also in the
process of filling vacant positions;an offer has been extended to a prospective
Plumbing/Mechanical Inspector. Mr.Largin asked if there would be any upcoming
training sessions for the industry/contractors for code update. Mr. Draper said it is
ongoing and we will be having some in the near future and he will provide At. Largin
with previous training manuals.

No one addressed the Board during public forum.
IX. Adjournment
Meeting adjourned as 2:30 p.m.
