Sosa, Building Official Lelland Kirbow, Chief Plumbing/Mechanical Inspector Bryn Meredith, Assistant City Attorney Elizabeth K. Butler, Executive Secretary The meeting was called to order at 2:04 p.m. The first item of business was roll call. Mr. Beecroft and Mr. Klepac were absent. A motion was made, seconded and approved unanimously to excuse Mr. Scarpulla and Mr. Flores from the previous meeting. The next item was the election of officers. A motion was made by Mr. Scarpulla, seconded by Mr. Flores and passed unanimously to elect Mr. Pitzer Chairman. A motion was then made by Mr. Scarpulla, seconded by Mr. Johnson and passed unanimously to elect Mr. Klepac Vice Chairman. A motion was made by Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. O'Bryan and passed unanimously to approve the minutes of January 13, 2000. The next item was the discussion of the recommendation to the City Council to adopt changes to the Corpus Christi Plumbing Code. Chairman Pitzer stated that the only pending item was the wording change concerning lawn irrigation. After a brief discussion during which Mr. Sosa stated that the Legal Department had made the change the Board agreed to move on to the next item while staff provided copies of the revised ordinance. The next item was the Building Official's Report. Mr. Sosa withdrew item A. Item B was the update on computer systems. Mr. Sosa stated that we should receive the final version of the software update in February, which will complete Phase I. Phase II is the Internet access. At this time the Board went back to item 5. Chairman Pitzer stated that the Board had gone through all of the proposed changes last month and the only revision was 612.1.3 SCANNED P.O. He stated that this section, which dealt with defining minimum run off and oversprays, needed to be re-worded. After reviewing the revision Chairman Pitzer stated that staff had used the Board's suggested wording and asked for any additional concerns. There were none. Mr. Johnson indicated that his folks (irrigators) were in agreement with the proposed language. A motion was made by Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. O'Bryan and passed unanimously to recommend that the City Council adopt these amendments to the code as printed. Mr. Sosa stated that staff was preparing to take the National Electrical Code to the City Council in April. He stated that copies of the ordinance and the council package would be provided to the Board for review. There was no pending and/or old business. There were no petitions from the audience. Mr. Sosa introduced Bryn Meredith , the new attorney that will work with the technical construction boards.
