RSVP ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MINUTES

The meeting was called t o o rder at 3:04 prn by Neomi Ramirez, RSVP Director.
A quorum of members was present.
Roll Call:
all call was conducted and members present were Anne Bauman, Dale Berry, Stephen
Isenhour and Sylvia Portales. Committee members not present were, Maggie Ramsey,
Mary Helen Salazar and Abel Sanchez.
Approval of Minutes: April 44 2013: Sylvia Portales made a motion to approve the
minutes and Stephen Isenhour second the motion.
New Business: Neorni Ramirez told the board that RSVP will be hosting a Diabetes
Awareness seminar. Dale Berry will contact HEB for this event and Anne Bauman has
a cardiologist who she will be contacting. Anne Bauman also suggested looking into
having this seminar during the Caller's Best of the Best event. A health fair will be held
on August 10 and a suggestion was made to sell a cookbook during this event. Neomi
Ramirez also suggested as a fundraising project she would like to auction a quilt with the
help of each volunteer station. Neomi Ramirez reminded the board that the TAAF games
will be held July 25-28, 2013 and RSVP volunteers will help with the pre-event activates.
Old Business: Neomi Ramirez told the board that MOU's have been submitted for
the following new volunteer stations; American Red Cross,Legacy, it or
Retirement,Mission of Mercy,VA Clinic and the Women's Shelter.
Adjournment:
There being no ftuther business, Sylvia Portales moved and Dale Berry second
to adjourn the meeting at 4:09 p.m.
