MINUTES
March 6, 2014
The meeting was called to order at 3:06 pm by Ericka Maldonado, Interim RSVP
Director.
A quorum of members was present.
Roll Call:
Present members: Sylvia Portales, Dale Berry, Stephen Isenhour, Anne Bauman, Judy
Loverde. Not present was Margaret Ramsey, Merced Pena and Abel Sanchez
Approval of Minutes: November 7, 2013: Stephen Isenhour made a motion to approve
the minutes and Sylvia Portales second the motion.
New Business: Year of being well- Health Fair, talked about bringing in Dentist, Del
Mar, Coastal Bend Texas Health Education Center, Star Dental, Dale Berry gave a name
of Star Flores 361-825-2804, CC Gym was suggested as a location. H.E.B.- ask for
donations
Recruiting Ideas —Wave Walkers at La Palmera Mall
Surveys- Getting surveys out to different HR departments, to see the need and skill level
of volunteers.
Day of Recognition Breakfast with the Mayor will be April 1st, 2014 at Ortiz Center at
Sam. Hooks Baseball Game—we will look for a date after conference in May.
Old Business: Ericka Maldonado told the board about Recruiting Ideas —Wave Walkers
at La Palmera Mall

There being no further business, Sylvia Portales moved and Dale Berry second to adjourn
the meeting at 3:51 p.m.
