MINUTES
March 3, 2017
The meeting was called to order at 3:06 pm by Sylvia Portales.
Roll Call:
Present members: Anne Bauman Renee Hundley, Sylvia Portales were present. Absent
members were Rita Padron and Abel Sanchez.
• April 2016 minutes were approved by Renee Hundley and second by Sylvia
Portales
Business:
• Board discussed the RSVP picnic that is scheduled for April 20th at Heritage Park.
• Member Vacancies were discussed and Angel Martinez (senior community
officer) explained that she has received a few calls about the vacancies.
• Board also talked about hosting a mixer at The Post last week of April
• Annual Report- Ericka Maldonado talked about volunteer stations and volunteers.
• Renee Hundley talked about Del Mar College as a volunteer station is located in
the Harvin Center Rm 188 and the MOU is current, they are ready for volunteers
to sign up.
• Veterans High School is in the works for becoming a volunteer station
• RSVP serves all of Nueces county—recognition event for the real area is TBA
• Mayors Day of Recognition is April 4th , proclamation will be read March 28,
2017
• RSVP Award and Recognition—need to schedule a date in May
