Old Business
Fundraising Event— Debbie Crites reported she met with the special event coordinator from
American Bank Center, Cindy Woods. Ms. Woods informed Ms. Crites that since we are part of
the City of CC, the room and equipment is absolutely free. The cost to have the event there will
include wait staff, changeover staff(setup and tear down), parking attendant, housekeeping,
basic security and the food. A menu with meal choices was presented. Ms. Crites pointed out
the cost in the menu would be half of the amount listed. Once everything is added together,
the cost would be around $15.50 each. They furnish all tables and chairs and any linens we
would need. They will also furnish check-in and silent auction tables covered at no additional
cost. There may be a fee to use the projector and screen.
Discussion was held regarding dates available in September, October and December. The
committee selected November 12th, with decorating being on November 111h
The committee discussed having/not having a raffle prior to the event with drawings being
done at the event. After a brief discussion, the committee decided an auction with premier
items will be conducted as last year. The committee feels that is part of the draw to the event.
Subcommittees were discussed and committee members volunteered to chair a sub-committee
is as follows:
Sponsorships—Sherry DuBois Table Sales
Silent Auction —Tami Longino Partnerships
Raffle Program

explained the new company is tied directly to our grant. Everything has been approved so the
fingerprinting process will continue.
Weekly Report— Ms. Crites explained she is required to submit a weekly report to her
supervisor, Lisa Oliver. Lisa suggested the report be sent to the Advisory Committee so they
can stay abreast of what is going on and worked on each week. Therefore, Ms. Crites will send
the report to committee members once it is complete.
SCS Commissions &Committee Recruitment Event— Ms. Longino reminded the committee
