SCP Minutes — REGULAR MEETING
The Viera Senior Living

I. Call to Order- @ 11:45am
II. Roll Call of Members- All in attendance + Guest Jeanine Leal
III. Approve January 2019 Minutes- Minutes for January needed prior to vote to approve. Tami
Longino, VS Chair moved to approve after agenda review.
IV. Old Business
a. Annual Recognition Event- 4/25/19 @ Methodist Church, 11-3pm, Jack's Dinner Bell to cater.
b. Absences of Advisory Members- Reviewed
c. GS Volunteer Project- Completed back in December, brief review
d. Beyond the Call of Duty Letters- Cut off for receiving letters will be this week.
i. Q1, 13 nominations received, Q2, 7 nominations received, Q3 4 nominations received
ii. Tenure and age to be considered in recognition awards process
V. New Business
a. Mayors Day of Recognition- @ the picnic NOT at City Hall. New members will be sworn in on
4/9, and we can be present to support if able.
b. RSVP and SCP Picnic-- Paulette Guajardo of the CC City Council was in attendance. Parking
difficulties and the worms were major complaints, food and music A+++!
VI. Program Updates
a. Dainne Taylor, Director has resigned and is relocating back to Dallas.
b. New Director of Parks and Recreation started Monday.
c. Tami Longino and Veronica Marsello to resign their positions on the committee in June 2019.
d. Tami Longino requested SCP and RSVP update, including financial update for next meeting
and Linda Ramirez agreed to get info for next meeting.
VII. Next meeting set for Wednesday May 1" @11:30am @ The Viera Senior Living
