Minutes for Monthly Meeting August 14, 2019–11:30am
The Viera Senior Living 3010 Airline Corpus Christi, Texas
Meeting was called to order by Lidia Lopez at 11:52am.
II. All Advisory Committee members were present: Lidia Lopez, Isabel Odeh, Linda
Alonzo, Christine Head, and Gloria Ortiz. Jeannine Leal and Linda Ramirez, SCP
Program Staff were also present.
III. Minutes of July 31, 2019 Meeting – Gloria Ortiz motioned to accept and Linda
Alonzo seconded motioned to accept. All unanimously approved minutes.
IV. Old Business - 911 Service Project
Lidia Lopez will research the number of 911 operators and shifts involved. Isabel
Odeh motioned to accept using PALS account to purchase baked goods for service
project and Christine Head seconded motion. All unanimously approved. Request
for volunteers will be made at SCP Voluntary Meeting on August 30, 2019.
V. New Business – Companions of the Quarter.
Reviewed process of selecting Companion of the Quarter. Gloria Ortiz motioned and
Christine Head seconded the motion to accept that SCP Staff be involved with
process of nominating and voting in selection process. All unanimously approved.
VI. PROGRAM UPDATE
-Definite date to move Program offices is still unknown.
–There is waiting list for placement of volunteers; prioritizing urgent requests.
–Speakers are needed for monthly training meetings. Isabel Odeh and Linda Alonzo
reported that they may be able to assist.
VII. Public Comment—There were no community representatives that are not official
Advisory Committee members present at today's meeting.
VIII. Next Meeting was scheduled for September 4, 2019 at 11:30am.
Meeting was adjourned by Lidia Lopez at 12:20pm.
