I. CALL TO ORDER:
The regular meeting of the Sister City Committee was called to order by Heather Moretzsohn at
6:15 pm.
II. ROLL CALL: Tess Allan called roll. A quorum was met with 8 members present.
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Hailey Kimball moved to accept the minutes as submitted. Alan
Thornburg seconded. Minutes were approved.
IV. FINANCIAL REPORT: None
V. PUBLIC COMMENT: None
VI. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Elect New Chair
Alan Thornburg nominated himself for General Chair. Hailey Kimball seconded the
nomination. A voice vote was taken with 7 for and one abstention by Coretta Graham.
Nomination is approved, Alan Thornburg is the new General Chair of the Sister City
Committee.

VIII. Liaison Reports
None
IX. Task Manager Reports
A. Fundraising — Heather Moretzsohn resigned as Chair, Lee White agreed to become the
new chair. Heather will continue to serve on the subcommittee. Alan will meet with Lee
after the meeting regarding budgets and fundraising activities.
Mark Bradsher reported on his research regarding donated air miles with American Airlines.
Heather and John Sloan worked on gaining 501c3 status for the SCC and Heather will
send the related documents to Coretta.
B. Selection — Hailey Kimball reported that Carroll High School had misinformation regarding
the cost of the Student Exchange program. Westi Horn reported that all of the Corpus
Christi High Schools have been assigned someone from the Committee to contact them.
Alan agreed to contact IWA and Hailey agreed to contact Collegiate. Coretta Graham will
reach out to others in CCISD and let City Staff know who her contacts are.

XII. ADJOURNMENT: Hailey Kimball moved to adjourn the meeting. Westi Horn seconded. The
meeting was adjourned at 6:31 pm.
