Regular Meeting
September 28,2015
1. Call to Order:
The Transportation Advisory Commission convened in a regular meeting on August 24,2015 at
City Hall Council Chambers.
Chair Scott Harris called the Commission Meeting to order at 2:31 p.m.
Commission Members in Attendance:Scott Harris(Chair), Robert Saldana, Edd Price,
Anthony Gavlik,Wilfredo Rivera,Elena Buentello
Commission Members Absent:Gretchen Arnold, Leo Rios(excused absence)
Staff Attendance: Raymond Chong,Sarah Munoz,Janet Kellogg,Guadalupe Salas, Captain
William Breedlove
11. Appointments/Resignations of TAC
None
111. Approval of Minutes:
Edd Price motioned for the August 24, 2015,minutes to be passed.The motion passed
unanimously.
IV. Public Comment:General:
None
V. Reports of Chair,Standing Committees&Staff:
a) Chair
NONE
b) Bicycle&Pedestrian Committee(BPC)
Anthony Gavlik briefed the Commission on the BPC meeting which was held the previous
Monday which included a presentation by Jeff Pollack.
c) Mobility Planning Committee(MPC)
Dennis Miller reported the ongoing progress on the Street Criteria Matrix.
d) Traffic Safety Report
Captain Breedlove reports alcohol related accidents are down. Four (4) fatalities since
August.
e) Staff Reports
Ray Chong provided an update that the recent fatality was unrelated to the new traffic
signal at the high school.

a) Advisory Members-Appointment
Advisory members appointed are Glen Sullivan(Nueces County),Jarl Pedersen(Port of
Corpus Christi), and Amanda Drum(TAMUCC)
b) Christus Spohn Shoreline Campus Redevelopment
Briefing on Traffic Impact Analysis being prepared for a future presentation
c) The Realm
Briefing on the proposed site development and impact on traffic on Rodd Field and SH
358 frontage road.
