Regular Meeting
Tuesday, December 22,2015
I. Call to Order:
The Transportation Advisory Commission convened in a regular meeting on December 22, 2015
at City Hall Council Chambers.
Chair Scott Harris called the Commission meeting to order at 2:30 p.m.
Commission Members in Attendance:Scott Harris(Chair), Robert Saldana, Edd Price,
Wilfredo Rivera, Dennis Miller, Leo Rios,Gretchen Arnold
Commission Members Absent:Anthony Gavlik, Elena Buentello
Staff Attendance: Raymond Chong, Renee Couture,Sarah Munoz,Janet Kellogg,Captain William
Breedlove,Guadalupe Salas
Organization Chart:Chart was created, no questions or comments made from Commission.
II. Appointments/Resignations of TAC
None
III. Approval of Minutes:
Edd Price motioned for the November 23,2015, minutes to be passed.The motion passed
unanimously.
IV. Public Comment/General:
None
V. Reports of Chair,Standing Committees&Staff:
a) Chair
None
b) Bicycle&Pedestrian Committee(BPC)
Committee was unable to meet.
c) Mobility Planning Committee (MPC)
Dennis Miller reported to the Commission the Committee has not met,but is still working
on publishing the first mobility annual report sometime in January.
d) Traffic Safety Report
Captain Breedlove presented one month of data from the DDACT program. He reported
to Commission the Traffic Unit will be adding three additional officers.Total fatalities for
the year so far was 31.
e) Staff Reports
Raymond Chong shared that congress finally approved the Fixing America's Surface
Transportation Act(FAST Act) congress to moving ahead for progress in the 21st century.

VII. New Business
a) Transportation Alternatives Program Application—Discussion& Recommendation—City
of Corpus Christi is interested in submitting an application to the CCP O for TAP. Dennis
Miller motions to recommend to submit an application. Motion passes unanimously.
b) Ennis Joslin Road at South Padre Island Drive Crashes—Discussion—Ismael Soto with
TxDOT informed Commission of the upcoming plans for this area which include
upgrading the traffic signal hardware and pavement markings.
