Call to Order: The Transportation Advisory Commission convened in a regular meeting on January 25, 2016 at City Hall Council Chambers. Vice-Chair Robert Saldana called the Commission meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. Commission Members in Attendance: Robert Saldana, Edd Price, Wilfredo Rivera, Dennis Miller, Leo Rios, Gretchen Arnold, Anthony Gavlik Commission Members Absent:Scott Harris, Elena Buentello Staff Attendance: Raymond Chong, Renee Couture, Sarah Munoz,Janet Kellogg, Captain William Breedlove, Guadalupe Salas Organization Chart: Chart was created, no questions or comments made from Commission. II. Appointments/Resignations of TAC None III. Approval of Minutes: Edd Price motioned for the December 22, 2015, minutes to be passed.The motion passed unanimously. IV. Public Comment/General: None V. Reports of Chair,Standing Committees&Staff: a) Chair None b) Bicycle& Pedestrian Committee(BPC) Committee was present during TAC meeting for the presentation of Jeff Pollack. BPC support Jeff Pollack's presentation. c) Mobility Planning Committee(MPC) Dennis Miller reported to the Commission the Committee will set up a meeting before next TAC meeting to review the Engineering Letter report for Alameda Street and Traffic Impact Analysis. The City put together a draft Mobility Annual Report which was provided to the Commissioners. d) Traffic Safety Report Captain Breedlove reported that for the year 2015 there were 32 Fatalities and 1331 DWI arrest 124 for the month of December.880 speeding citations for the month of December 47 in were in School Zones. 1660 distracted driver citations. e) Staff Reports Harbor Bridge is proceeding with the development. Sarah Munoz informed TAC that at the City Council meeting a future agenda item of a Utility agreement adjustment. National Study of BRT of outcomes, Ayers, Staples, and Leopard. Potential traffic signal on Aquarius has a small issue at current time. VI. New Business a) Strategic Plan for Active Mobility—Bicycle Mobility—Presentation by Jeff Pollack Presentation had Phase I goals which included to develop of a cohesive, strategic network of bicycle facilities that accommodates a diversity of riders. Enhance bicycle mode share for trips of all types, promote health and wellness through bicycling and enhance safety for bicyclist. VII. Adjournment Meeting adjourned at 3:26 p.m.
