REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
Thursday, March 13, 2014 4:00 p.m.

V. New Business for Discussion and Possible Action
1. Introduction of members and staff liaisons
2. Review duties of the Tree Advisory Committee
3. Drawing to determine terms of members appointed by City Council
Campos and Ehlen will serve one year terms expiring on 02/11/15
Christian, Rodriguez, Weizer will serve two year terms expiring on 02/11/16
4. Review Committee Orientation Manual
Committee to review Open Meetings training on oag website
5. Establish regular meeting schedule for the Tree Advisory Committee
Regular meetings established for second Thursday of each month at 4:OOpm in
the Parks and Recreation Conference Room

VI I. Staff Liaison Report—Stacie Talbert Anaya
1. Suggested background material for committee members
Talbert will send group a list of links and references. Ehlen suggested reviewing
plans for city's with similar characteristics as CC—region, climate, landscape,
etc. After reviewing the plans, TAC can make some decisions about which way
to head with the plan,what resources we have available,which ones we will
require a request for funding and what will be best for the community. Campos
suggested we consider requesting an Urban Forester be added to the budget.
Talbert suggested that recommendation be something that comes from the plan
itself.

Presentation on Parks and Recreation Department Master Plan by Wyatt and Talbert
Review of plans and resources shared with the group.
