IV. Adoption of Minutes from February 8, 2018
Motion: Campos, Second: Fields, All in favor
V. Public Comment
Please be advised that the Open Meetings Act prohibits the Tree Advisory Committee from responding
and discussing your comments at length. The law only authorizes them to do the following:
1. Make a statement of factual information,
2. Recite an existing policy in response to the inquiry, or
3. Advise the citizen that this subject will be placed on an agenda at a later date.

VII. New Business for Discussion and Possible Action — None
VIII. Old Business for Discussion and Possible Action —
1. Review of Committee Action Plan
Set up work shop to review current action plan and update at April meeting
2. Process to change committee make up from Landscape Arch to landscaper or nursery
professional
Don provided a list pulled from the American Society of Landscape Architects to use as a guide for
revision of positions on the committee. Josh to work on revising the ordnance
3. How to classes/Work shops
Use Earth Day Bay Day event to gather information as to what type of trainings the public would like to
be provided. Gathered information to be discussed at April's meeting
4. Earth Day Celebration
Corner spot table requested, to be secured by Josh. Giveaways to include: Trees (provided by Don &
AEP), water-based tattoo's (provided by Phillip), gator bags (provided by Sylvia) benefits of tree
pamphlets (provided by Phillip), Sylvia is also going to attempt to have some gift card's donated for a raffle
IX. Committee Member Comments/Announcements
X. Staff Liaison Report—Joshua Wentworth
Tree crew staff currently trimming throughout the City&we are currently looking at Park improvement
locations to see what trees could be added to the canopy.
