ITEM 1: Call the Meetinq to Order
Chairman Sam Sanders called the meeting to order at 11:27 a.m. with a quorum of seven members
attending.
ITEM 2: Review and Approval of Minutes
The minutes from the Wednesday October 6, 2016 meeting were unanimously approved.
ITEM 3: Introductions
Esteban `Steve" Ramos introduced himself to the Committee as the new Water Resource Manager for the
City of Corpus Christi. Steve briefly informed the group about his professional background.
ITEM 4: Committee Re-appointments and Vacancy Discussion - Chair
Re-appointments were discussed

Steve Ramos gave the Committee an update of the City of Corpus Christi Water Supply including the

Things to remember
o Every utility or municipality has its own unique characteristics.
o Adopting someone else's strategy without a full understanding of your own customer base
may result in failure
o The best conservation survey starts at your computer
o Large water users are not always indicative of wasteful users
o Smaller water users are not always indicative of efficient users
o Simply categorizing and comparing like users can result in the identification of significant
water saving opportunities
