Guests Speakers: Philippe Tissot, Gabriel Ramirez Public: Faren Von Duben ITEM 1: Call the Meeting to Order Steve Ramos called the meeting to order at 11:40 a.m. with a quorum of six members attending. ITEM 2: Review and Approval of Minutes The minutes from the Wednesday January 26, 2017 meeting were unanimously approved. ITEM 3: Introductions Steve Ramos informed the Committee that Mr. Sam Sanders decided not to be reappointed. ACTION: Board member Phil Hale RGGky F=Feu moved to nominate Sally Gill to fill the Chair position vacated by Sam Sanders. The Motion was seconded by Joelle Francois. Ayes: Board members Freund, Francois, Hale, Reece, Williams Nays: None ITEM 4: Committee Re-appointments and Vacancy Discussion - Chair Re-appointments were discussed ITEM 5: Water Resources Update, — Steve Ramos Steve Ramos gave the Committee an update of the City of Corpus Christi Water Supply including the following points: Regional Water Supply System Page 1 of 3 City of corpus Christi Water Supply Relationships Drought Impact on Texas Surface Water Drought Monitor Statistics Water Supply Source o Choke Canyon 275,774 Ac-ft., 39.7% Storage Capacity o Lake Corpus Christi 240,625 Ac-ft., 93.5% Storage Capacity ITEM 6: Water Quality Program Overview - Gabriel Ramirez Meeting Guest: Gabriel Ramirez, M.S. Water Quality Manager, City of Corpus Christi Water Dept. City of Corpus Christi Distribution System . Water Resources . City Water Demand o Serve approximately 98,000 service connections and 316,000 Corpus Christi residents o Supplies water to 7 counties (Aransas, Bee, Jim Wells, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces and San Patricio). Nitrification Factors that encourage nitrification: o Source water quality o Finished water quality o Infrastructure design and condition o Distribution system operation and maintenance Distribution System Sampling Nitrification Action Plan (NAP) 1. Monitor FAA, monochloramine, total chlorine, NO2, and NO3 2. Action Levels set for each parameter 3.
