CALL TO ORDER Chair, Cameron Perry called the meeting to order at 5:39 p.m. II. ROLL CALL The Recording Secretary called roll and announced that a quorum was present. III. ADOPTION OF MINUTES Regular called meeting-April 3, 2014. Cliff made a motion to approve. Joe seconded; minutes approved. IV. HEAR FROM THE PUBLIC— None V. BUSINESS FOR DISCUSSION/ACTION A. New Business Airsoft Guns in Parks Along Oso Bay In regard to the public comment from last month's meeting. It was expressed that there was a need for cleanup of the airsoft pellets. After looking into it, there is currently a City ordinance prohibiting airsoft guns and bb guns. It will come down to law enforcement to monitor the parks and enforce the ordinance. B. Old Business for Discussion/Action Power Lines over Laguna Madre Cliff stated there are no new updates. There's a slight chance the route will be over the Laguna Madre and a slight chance it will be over Oso Bay. Any updates will be presented at the next meeting. Donation for Windward Parking Lot Derek shared photos of the completed water fountain with the committee. ISAC Report Jay was not in attendance, therefore there was no report. VI. STAFF LIAISON REPORT A press release was recently sent out regarding the abundance of sargassum on the area beaches. Seawall bollards was pushed to the Council Workshop to be discussed. Tomorrow the Texas Chapter of the ASBPA will be meeting at Fajitaville Grill at 11:30am to discuss various issues. Members are invited to attend. VII. IDENTIFY ITEMS TO BE PLACED ON NEXT AGENDA • North Beach Breakwater Concept • ISAC Report • Power Lines Over Laguna Madre if there is an update • Seawall Driving if there is an update VIII. ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business, Jennifer Pollack made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Joseph DePalma seconded. Chair, Cameron Perry adjourned the meeting at 6:15 pm.
