I. CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 5:33 p.m.
II. ROLL CALL
The roll was called and a quorum was present.
I. ADOPTION OF MINUTES
Minutes from the August 7, 2014 and September 4, 2014 distributed for review and approval. There
was no meeting in October or December. Jay Gardener motioned, Joseph DePalma second,
unanimously approved. Motion carried.

V. BUSINESS FOR DISCUSSION/ACTION
A. New Business
1. None
B. Old Business for Discussion/Action
1. Trot Line Information —Cameron passed on information received from Paulette via email that based
on TGLO determination, the City does not have jurisdiction to make changes to use/fishing in the area
of concern.
2. Beach Maintenance Practices—Convene at beach
• Beach Maintenance Subcommittee— It was agreed to postpone the meeting of the Beach
Maintenance sub-committee with Stacie and the beach staff. Committee member will
review the provided Beach Maintenance Plan and the committee will reconvene after spring
break (late March/early April)to discuss practices and update the plan. Prior to the
meeting, Jay asked that beach maintenance staff place sargassum at the toe of the dune
rather than on the face of the dune. This will help form coppice mounds and limit impacts to
dune vegetation and stability of the dune. Stacie stated she would pass on the information
to the maintenance crew ahead of the committee meeting.
• County& City swapping (Newport Rd swap with parcel near Bob Hall Pier)—Jay Gardiner
asked about the status on overlap/swap of maintenance areas and Stacie replied she
hadn't heard from the County recently.
• Dune driving and impacts—Jay and Cliff sent locations where dune driving was occurring to
Mike Morris before he left. They will forward to Stacie,who will then pass on to the Police.
VI. STAFF LIAISON REPORT
1. Beach Bollard Update
• In January, the City received approval from the Texas General Land Office for the bollard
plan.
• Phase 1 of the project was implemented, which consisted of placement of shore
perpendicular bollards.
• The Phase 1 project will be monitored prior to initiating Phase 2, which is the placement of
the additional bollards described in the City Ordinance.
2. New Staff
• Stacie introduced Reba George who is the Interim Beach Superintendent.
3. Spring Break
• Stacie stated that preparations are beginning now for spring break. The prime days of
spring break this year will be March 13th through the 22nd. It was also mentioned that there
is a new code enforcement officer for litter.

As there was no further business, Cliff Schlabach made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Joseph
DePalma seconded. Meeting adjourned at 6:28 pm.
