I. CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m.
II. ROLL CALL
The roll was called and a quorum was present.
I. ADOPTION OF MINUTES
Minutes from the May 7, 2015 meeting were distributed for review and approval. Cliff made a motion to
accept the minutes as corrected, Diana seconded, unanimously approved. Motion passed.
IV. HEAR FROM THE PUBLIC - NONE
V. BUSINESS FOR DISCUSSION/ACTION
A. New Business
1. Review of Maintenance Workshop
This discussion was tabled; the workshop was cancelled and is rescheduled for June 11, 2015 at
11:OOAM at the IBC Building, Second Floor. Jay, Cameron, Cliff&Joe will be attending.
B. Old Business for Discussion/Action
1. Beach Signage
Cliff presented a map with locations of improper access of the dunes. Staff will proceed with installing
signage as quickly as resources and weather will allow.
2. Sec. 10-59—Animal control (dog leash ordinance)
Discussion involved codifying the days of the year that dogs are not allowed on the beach. The decision
was that during Spring Break (the 2nd Friday in March to the 3rd Sunday in March), Memorial Day, 4th of
July and Labor Day holidays. During these dates, dogs will not be allowed on the beach from Zahn
Road to Access Road 3. Cliff made a motion to accept the changes, Paulette seconded, unanimously
approved. Motion passed.
3. City revised beach maintenance plan
Reba made minor changes; added permit amendment.
VI. STAFF LIAISON REPORT
1. Beach Superintendent Recruitment Process
This position will be advertised again after a recent unsuccessful recruitment.
2. Other
Work was completed today on access roads 3A and Zahn. Skid-o-kans were moved and logs were
posted to track servicing. Tar balls are present on the beach.

As there was no further business, Cliff made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Joe seconded the motion.
