The City is soliciting input of this plan and another that specifically targets the Bayfront Arts and Sciences Park Area. Among the concerns or input provided by Committee members was: 1- Parking for the Museum needs improvement and the Museum needs to replace bus parking which was largely eliminated by the Ortiz Center Development. 2- The proposed elimination of the traffic circle in front of the Museum would make bus service to the Museum more difficult. 3- The elimination of parking on the Barge Dock due to the access provided for RTA buses connecting to the Water Taxi stop. 4-The inadequacy of north bound traffic service due to a) the elimination of access from Shoreline both under the Convention Center and through the Watergarden, b) elimination of Water as a through street and c)the south bound only traffic on Mesquite in front of the old courthouse. 5- The plan calls for placing greater emphasis on Brewster as the connection between Shoreline and Chaparral over Resaca. 6- Improvements to Port are needed. 7- The entrance to the Port ought to be moved to Nueces Bay to enable a land connection to Corpus Christi Beach.
