Rick Stryker used power point slides to review with members the development plans in the museum district. The Friends of the Museum are considering hiring a nationally known museum planning consultant such as Appelbaum and Associates. Specifically the issues that might be addressed by such a consultant would include the potential development of a permanent home for the Columbus ships as well as the need to improve access and visibility for all museums in the area. Additional concerns include the need to incorporate private development such as restaurants that are needed to serve the entire museum district audience. After an extended discussion regarding various issues the Committee determined that they should begin discussing a framework for providing input to the City Council on the issues that need to be addressed. B. The report regarding marketing the Museum was tabled until the next meeting. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 1:15 p.m. SCANNED
