Members Present: Margaret Bolick, Sharon Browe ," c.$$ 6G8v Lv9y Hatherill, Cheryl Gillenwater, Randall Meredith, Phyllis Riddle, Linda Scott, and Lin.. : o. Upon motion by Margaret Bolick and seconded by Phyllis Riddle the minutes of the January 5, 2006 meeting were approved as presented. Upon motion by Randall Meredith and seconded by Phyllis Riddle the absence of Linda Tomo was excused for good cause. Chairman's remarks: Robert Hatherill and Linda Tomo were welcomed to the Advisory Committee. Business: a. Upon motion by Randall Meredith and seconded by Linda Scott the Committee unanimously approved a resolution designating the City Secretary or his designee as the public information coordinator for the Museum Advisory Committee in compliance with the Texas Government Code Section 552.012. b. The Committee watched a training video on the responsibilities of Advisory Committee members under the Texas Public Information Act in compliance with the requirements of Texas Government Code Section 552.012. The DVD with the training program on it malfunctioned part of the way through and members were asked to watch the remainder by going to the Office of the Attorney General's web site. Upon completion a confirmation code would be provided that could then be sent to Rick. It is requirement of service on the Museum Advisory Committee under State law that every member of the Committee watches this training video. c. All members not able to attend the training session should go to www.oag.state.tx.us , hold the cursor over"Open Government" link on the left side of the page and click on "Open Government Training". After watching the video on "The Texas Open Meetings Act" and obtain the confirmation code. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 1:15 p.m. SCANNED
