b. The City Manager decided to consider revisions to Museum admission fees in association with
consideration of the FY 2007/08 budget. He asked Rick Stryker to investigate whether there
might be a collaborative approach to offering additional free days to enable access by people for
whom the admission fee might be an impediment. The Art Museum is free on Thursdays and
neither the Lexington nor the Aquarium off free days. Rick asked for input on his proposal that
the Museum be free to all visitors on the first Thursday each month from September through May.
After some discussion Sharon Brower moved and Alex Sadovski seconded the recommendation
that all visitors be admitted free on the first Thursday of each month from September through
May and that 4 additional Sunday free days within the same time period be spaced out at the
discretion of the Museum Director. This recommendation should be implemented with the new
admission fee schedule. The motion passed with four votes in favor, Sharon Brower abstained.
