Attendance for this summer, June and July, increased to 15,477 the highest since 1999.

6. Staff Report
• The new fee schedule was implemented on August 1.
• The Archaeological Field School was completed successfully in spite of the rain. A full
report will be forthcoming.
• Funding has been obtained to initiate a project to renovate exhibits in the Paleontology
SCANNED
Saw 'NS
Hall. The intention is to install exhibits that are more interactive. The targeted
completion is summer 2008.
• The Museum is collaborating with local school districts to fund the Voyage exhibit. The
"Voyage" exhibit is a version of an exhibit that is installed on the National Mall in
Washington, D.C. between the National Air and Space Museum and the Smithsonian
Castle. It is a one to 10-billion scale model of the solar system that stretches 600 meters -
the length of six football fields. This proposal would result in the installation of the
exhibit permanently along the seawall to enhance the linkage between the educational
resources located in the museum district and the hotels and visitor facilities located in
downtown.
• The 50th Anniversary lecture series will continue again in the fall.
The meeting adjourned at 1:15 p.m.
