The Museum Advisory Committee met in the Museum at 12 : 00 Noon, ile '
Thursday, July 7, 1994 . Members Present: Alicia Perez, Alda
Klett, Ruth O'Brien, Gene Pennebaker, Delbert Hooper, Gwen Henzi,
Cindy Gamez, and Dr. Linda Mora . Members Absent : Dwayne Dean and
Deborah Kobelan .
Chair Alicia Perez called the meeting to order . The minutes of
the June 2 , 1994 meeting were unanimously approved as written.
The absences of Linda Mora from the last two meetings and Gwen
Henzi and Alicia Perez from the last meeting were excused for
good cause.
Sharon Brower has accepted a teaching position and has resigned
from the Advisory Committee. A nomination will be made by the •
Superintendent of the CCISD. Susie Sedwick has accepted a ...
position at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and she, too, has
resigned from the Advisory Committee. Both of these ladies have
given immensely of their time an energy. They will be missed.

This meeting was held for discussion purposes only. The topics
included long range planning issues at the Museum and the upcom-
ing activities of "Awesome August " . No action was required.
As an item of information, Good Morning, America will broadcast
live from the Lexington on July 29 . They will also use 4 pre-
recorded segments . There are a total of 6 segments from which
they may choose, and one of these includes the Nina .
The majority of the Advisory Committee members voted to cancel
August ' s meeting since Mr. Stryker will be on vacation. The next
meeting will be held September 1st .
The meeting adjourned at 1 : 12 p .m.
