MINUTES I. Call to Order by Chairman Rick Pedraza at 5:35 pm ii. Roll Call of Members-Roll call was conducted by Hope Herrera. Members present: Adam Alvarez, Kamlesh Bhikha, Dotson Lewis, Alissa Mejia, Rick Pedraza, and Huxley Smith Members Absent: Chris Anderson, Gary McCoig, Doug McBee, Jerry Plemons and Carlos Valdez Staff present: Stacie Talbert Anaya, Becky Perrin, Hope Herrera III. Adoption of Minutes- Regular meeting — July 13, 2016 meetings, First Dotson Lewis, Second Huxley Smith, all in favor IV. Committee, Liaison/Staff Reports— • Finance/Marketing Task Force—Budget&fees schedule presented to group, advertisement into parks system with industry,allowing advertisements companies like no beer companies,sponsorships and advertisements program • Horticulture Task Force—Huxley Smith—no report • Program Development Task Force—No Report • Watershore&Beach Advisory Committee Liaison—Captain Moore went to meeting,4 people who patrol FB&Island— short staffed,working with our Park Enforcement officers,reviewing signage for beach • Planning&Development Task Force—Oct 20 @ Volunteer—Oso Creek Park,scheduled bike group helping to clean up, weed eaters and tools—please bring bug spray and sunscreen • Planning&Development Task Force—No report • Special Project Task Force—No Report • Island Strategic Action Committee Liaison—plastic bags ban, park enforcement officers trained and familiarized with operations Director/Assistant Director Report ➢ Artesian—construction done, irrigation , plant material,trimmed the trees and new sign ➢ 2017 Proposed Budget—Power Point Presentation X.
