The meeting was called to order at 3:00 pm by Tony Lopez, RSVP Advisory Committee
Chair. A quorum of members was present.
Roll Call
Roll call was conducted and members present were Tony Lopez, Betty McDonel, Maggie
Ramsey, Jennifer Larivey. Committee Members not present were Herlinda Escobar-
Cantu and Arthur Carrillo.
Approval of Minutes (for Mar 3, 2011)
Motion to accept the minutes made by Betty McDonel; seconded by Maggie Ramsey.
Motion carried.
Overview of RSVP: Sylvia Tryon Oliver, RSVP Program Director gave a report of
program events and operations; gave updates on the upcoming event-Volunteers
Recognition Banquet for May 12, 2011 at.the Ortiz Center. Ms. Oliver stated we need
decorations and door prizes.
New Business: Senior Volunteers Recognition Banquet.,
Old Business: The by-laws will be reviewed along with program planning and
establishing a sub-committee.
Upcoming Events:
Committee discussed the following events: National Volunteer Week-April 10-16.
Texas State Senior Corps Conference -April 26-28, 2011 at the Omni Hotel.
Annual Senior Corp RSVP Volunteers Recognition Banquet May 12, 2011, at the
Solomon P. Ortiz Center.
Casino bus trip to L'Auberge De Lac, May 18-20, 2011.

There being no further business, Tony Lopez moved and Betty McDonel seconded to :
adjourn the meeting.
