I. PRESENTATIONS Presentations were made by 2000 Exchange Students:
Marisol Trevino, Julian Lopez, Amanda Ramirez, Andrew Broussard, Jose Luis
Olivares
II. CALL TO ORDER— The,September regular meeting, of the Sister City Steering
Committee was called to order at 6:15 by Chair Rendon.
III. ROLL CALL—Ms.Carlisle called the roll;who announced a quorum was present.
IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES—
V. TREASURER'S REPORT — The current balance in the General Fund is $15,993.00.
The unaudited balance in the Trust Fund is$3,143.40
VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS-
A. Discussion regarding sponsorship of " Amigos de Mexico"
Deiz y Seis celebration. Discussion was at this time the Sister City
Committee does not have funds to support this year,but would look at even again next
year.
VII. COMMITTEE REPORTS—
Keelung, Taiwan —Yalee Shih reported she would be visiting Keelung to discuss next
t
year's exchange.
Toledo,Spain—
Yokosuka,Japan—
Agen,France—
Monterrey,Mexico—No report
Veracruz,Mexico—No report.
VIII. CURRENT CONCERNS—Drew Combs informed everyone on Sister City's Website.
Chairman Rendon spoke about responsibilities of being a chairperson. He also expressed
that he would be available to assist the committee in anyway.
