Discussion of curriculum for current exchange students—the discussion began with the idea that our Students need to be better informed about Corpus Christi and their host country. Randy Farrar suggested orientation sessions should include not only current students but also former students who would serve as resource persons and that there be several sessions held to include: (1)an introduction session; (2)a culture and language skills session,to include possibly a foreign language teacher;(3)a session on information about the host city,to include culture, protocol, history, time line, politics and religion of that a Country;(4)a session on information on Corpus Christi and Texas to include history, the , forms of government used in each, names of city council members and state legislators and the economic base of both Corpus Christi and the State of Texas. It was suggested for expediency that the information be presented as a homework assignment. Drue Combs expressed concern about adding more homework to the Students workload and suggested each chairperson of the exchange city be responsible for preparing the students going to s their city.
