The meeting was called to order by Carola Serrato at 11:45 a.m.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes of February 7, 2008 meeting were reviewed. A motion was made by Ruth Blake and
seconded by Mary Fant to adopt the minutes as presented. The minutes were approved
unanimously.
II. Introduction of New Committee Members
Mrs. Marruffo reported that the committee members were unable to attend due to prior business
commitments. Their absence would be noted as excused.
III. Update presentation on the City's Utility Rate Study
Mr. Oscar Martinez-Assistant City Manager for Administrative Services for City of Corpus Christi
provided an update on the City's Utility Rate Study. He stated that the rate structure would reflect
the true cost of service for inside city limit customers. A public hearing would be held on July 8.
IV. Water Quality Report
Mr. Gonzalez provided a brief report on the City's 2007 annual Water Quality Report. A
copy of the report was provided to committee members.
V. New or Old Business
Mrs. Serrato asked if the staff would provide a status report on City's suspension of the
Goliad Sands Project.
VI. Motion to adjourn
The next Water Resources Advisory Committee was planned for August 21, 2008.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
