MINUTES
OF JOINT AND SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF THE
WATER/SHORE ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND
THE TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
June 24, 1993
MEMBERS PRESENT: Frank Beck, Quenten Cook, Robert Gross, Vic Menard, Scott
Skinner and Randy Thompson. -
MEMBERS ABSENT: Charlene Forest and Patricia Suter.
STAFF PRESENT: W. Thomas Utter, Director of Development Services, SiSu Morris,
Marina Superintendent and Benita Brunner, Secretary.
CALL TO ORDER: The joint and special called meeting of the Water/Shore and
Transportation Advisory Committees to order at 3:00 p.m. in the City Council
Chambers.
DISCUSSION ITEMS:
Dune Protection and Beach Access Plan: Brandol Harvey, Director of Planning &
Development, gave a brief overview of the draft Dune Protection and Beach Access
Plan (Plan) prepared by City Staff.. David Seiler, City Traffic Engineer, presented
the Vehicular Control element contained within the Plan. Both the Waterl Shore and
Transportation Advisory Committees have advisory jurisdiction over these elements.
Following the presentations, questions and answers by Committee members and
hearing from the public, the Water/Shore Advisory Committee opted to delay action
until their regularly scheduled July 1st meeting when they would take action on all
elements of the Plan. The Transportation Advisory Committee adjourned following
action on the Vehicular Control Plan. The Water/Shore Advisory Committee remained
in session with City Staff to discuss and receive clarification on several other
elements of the Plan.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at
5:45 p.m.
