1. CALL TO ORDER
City Commissioner Al Garcia, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 2:04 PM.The roll was called by
John Buckner.Eight of eleven counties were represented and the attendees included 22-of 35 voting
representatives.
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF THE September 5,2015 MEETING.
A motion was made by Judge Mills to approve the minutes of the September 25,2015 meeting.
Commissioner Cantu seconded the motion. The minutes of the September 25,2015 meeting were
approved.
3. TREASURER'S REPORT
John Buckner presented this report for the month of September 2015. He referred to the first page of the
report and briefly summarized the transactions, account balances and interest earned. Upon a motion by
Mr. Ocker, seconded by Commissioner Lopez, the September 2015 Treasurer's Report was approved at
the end of the meeting by unanimous vote of the members present.

No recommendations for appointment were made at this meeting.
B. COUNCIL ON AGING REPORT
Mr. Rudy Cantu,Chairman of the Council on Aging presented this report.
1. RESOLUTION NO. 2960
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH THE UNITED WAY OF TARRANT COUNTY FOR FALLS PREVENTION ACTIVITIES
UNDER THE FALLS REDUCTION EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT PROJECT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $22,400 FOR THE TWO YEAR PROJECT PERIOD AUGUST 1, 2015 THROUGH
JULY 31,2017.
Commissioner Cantu made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2960. Mr. Ocker seconded the motion.
Resolution No.2960 was adopted by unanimous vote of the members present.
2. RESOLUTION NO. 2961
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO ACCEPT A GRANT
AWARD FROM THE COASTAL BEND COMMUNITY FOUNDATION TO ASSIST IN
MEETING A PORTION OF THE 25 PERCENT LOCAL MATCH REQUIREMENT FOR THE
NATIONAL FAMILY CAREGIVERS SUPPORT PROGRAM TOTALING $7,500 FOR THE
PROJECT PERIOD OCTOBER 1, 2015 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2016.
Commissioner Gonzalez moved for the adoption of Resolution No. 2961. Her motion was seconded by
Commission Lopez. Resolution No.2961 was adopted by unanimous vote of the members present.
3. RESOLUTION NO.2962

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE FISCAL YEAR
2016 UPDATES TO CURRENT CONTRACTS AND VENDOR AGREEMENTS WITH LOCAL
SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR THE PROJECT PERIOD OCTOBER 1,2015 THROUGH SEP['EMBER
30,2016 SUPPORTING OLDER AMERICAN'S ACT NUTRITION PROGRAMS IN THE
PLANNING AMOUNT OF$1,650,665.
Commissioner Nardini made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2962. His motion was seconded by
Mayor Perkins. Resolution No 2962 was adopted by unanimous vote of the members present.
5. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND NON-ACTION ITEMS
Chairman Garcia appointed the CBCOG Budget Committee to consider and recommend the CBCOG's
2016 calendar year budget. The members included: Brent Ocker, Chairman,City Commissioner Al
Garcia,Judge C.H.Mills,Judge Loyd Neal,Judge Terry Simpson,Bill Hennings, Tom Tagliabue,Judge
Jim Huff,Judge Stephanie Silvas, Commissioner Nina Trevino, Commissioner Margie Gonzalez,
Commissioner Roy Cantu and Judge Ricardo Carrillo.

The members present had an exchange of ideas on reverse 911 related to the upcoming rainfall event over
the weekend. Representatives discussed the number of cities and counties having reverse 911 in the
region and what the level of participation was by the citizens. It was noted that residents needed to sign
up for this.
6. ADJOURN
With no further business,the meeting adjourned at 2:45 PM.
