Municipal Greens Committee
January 26, 1994
The monthly meeting of the Municipal Greens Committee was held January 26, 1994 at 5:00
p.m. at the Oso Municipal Golf Course. Officers in attendance were: Chairman Orville
Ponder and Secretary: Ray Wamek.
Members Present were: Bette Giraudin, Willy Antonetz, Morris Powers, Robert Riveria.
Also attending were: Malcolm Matthews, Director of Park & Recreation, Golf Pros Red
Taylor and Dan Buder; and Golf Superintendent Scott Roberts. The motion was made and
seconded for the approval of the Minutes, Minutes approved.
Staff Report: Mr. Matthews reported that the parking lot at Gabe Lozano will be repaired
as weather permits; delivery of golf carts to Lozano will be upcoming; and drainage
problems at the Lozano Golf Course are being addressed as time and weather permits.
Review of Bylaws: The Bylaws were reviewed and all revisions were discussed. The motion
made to accept the revisions by all members present to vote. The motion passed and the
Bylaws were approved.
Members Concerns: Willy Antonetz expressed concerns about the area being too wet in
front of various greens; that restrooms should be cleaned and trash cans emptied prior to
weekend play. He added that a nice job is being done by the maintenance crew in getting
the palm trees trimmed.
Adjournment: A motion for adjournment was made and Chairman Ponder adjourned the
meeting at 6:15 p.m..
