HomeMy WebLinkAboutC2005-208 - 5/10/2005 - NA AMENDMENT No. 2 CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TERMINAL CONTRACT FOR ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SERVICES The City of Corpus Christi, Texas, hereinafter called "City", Bennett, Martin, Solka and Torno, Inc hereinafter called "Consultant", hereby agree to amend contract approved by Council on July 8, 2003 (M2003- 245) and administratively amended November 21, 2003 as follows: Section II. Scope of Services is amended by the addition of a sentence to read: Amendment No. 2 provides [or additional construction phase services through Apdl 6, 2005. Section II.B 1. Construction Services is amended by the additional of subsection j. to read: lIB1 j The duration of construction phase field services for the Architect is mutually agreed to continue through April 6, 2005 Section III. Fees Authorized is amended to read: III. FEES AUTHORIZED The City will pay the Consultant a total not to exceed fee of $100,612 00, The total fee consists of a total fixed fee for basic, bid, construction, and post construction services in the amount of $83,250.00. This fee will be full and total compensation for all services provided and expenses incurred. The fee consists of an Original Contract fee of $58,250, a fee for Amendment No 1 in the amount of $25,000 and a fee for Amendment No. 2 in the amount of $17,362. The table "Summary of Fees" shall be used when calculating the fee due for the proportion of services completed. The City shall make prompt payments in response to Consultant's statements for Professional Services Billing for services provided in Section II A will be based on the Consultan/'s estimate of the percent of services complete at the time of billing. However, in no case will the billing exceed 90% of the fee for each phase until the delivery of documents associated with each phase has been reviewed and accepted by the City. Billing for services provided in Section II.B will be based on the amount of construction completed, Billing for services provided in Section II.C will be payable upon performance of inspections and delivery of all materials to the City. Consultant will submit monthly statements for work authorized by the City Engineer and performed by the Consultant. The statement will be based upon Consultant's estimate and concurrence by the City of the proportion of the total services actually completed at the time of billing. The City will make prompt monthly payments in response to Consultant's monthly invoices. All invoices shall be accompanied by a cover letter summarizing the fee in accordance with the Summary Schedule of Fees. Invoices will be sequentially numbered for each project and state the project name, The letter shall state the number of the current invoice, the contract fee for each task, the amount previously invoiced for each task, and the current amount due. Invoices may be organized as required to accommodate funding sources. During the construction phase, the Architect]Engineer will also submit a brief letter/memo summarizing observations du ring the site visit, the work of the contractor, construction progress for the billing period, and any pending items.
