TO THE
INTERDEPARTMENTAL AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT")
FY2019 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") PROGRAM
BETWEEN THE
HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT ("HCD")
AND
PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT ("DEPARTMENT")
This first amendment ("First Amendment") is made by and between the Housing and
Community Development Department ("HCD"), the City of Corpus Christi ("City") and
the Parks and Recreation Department ("Department") of the City.
WHEREAS, HCD and the Department executed an agreement ("Agreement"), which
was approved by the City Council July 23, 2019 for the purpose of utilizing the City's
FY2019-20 Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program funds for a project
entitled Salinas Park Play- for- all Splash Playground ("Project")
WHEREAS, the Department has been awarded additional FY2019 Community
Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program funds in order to complete the project
contemplated under the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to execute this First Amendment to express their mutual
desire to reaffirm all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement
and to accept the additional awarded ("Funds").
Section 1. By execution of this instrument, the parties agree to reaffirm and continue in
force all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement, as may be
amended by the execution of this First Amendment.
Section 2. The Agreement is amended by adding an additional amount of
"$290,000.00" to the Funds for the Project making the total amount of Funds for this
Project "$570,000.00." By execution of this instrument, the parties agree to reaffirm and
continue in force all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement,
as may be amended by the execution of this First Amendment.
Section 3. By execution of this First Amendment, the parties agree to revise the
amount of Funds stated in the original Agreement. All other terms, conditions, and
covenants of the Agreement not changed by this First Amendment remain the same
and in full force and effect.
