The mission of the Business & Job Development (Type A) and B Corporations is to
promote and enhance the City of Corpus Christi's economic base by supporting
projects and programs that create primary jobs, improve small business and affordable
housing opportunities, and improve infrastructure in our City.
A. President Scott Harris to call the meeting to order.
President Scott Harris called the meeting to order at 4:07 p.m.
B. Call Roll and Excuse Absences:
City Secretary Rebecca Huerta called the roll and verified that a quorum of the
Board was present to conduct the meeting.
NOTE: Board Members Leah Olivarri, Diana Summers and Lee Trujillo
participated by video conference.

President Harris referred to Public Comment. There were no comments from
the public.
Approval of the Minutes of the Type A Board August 17, 2020 Regular
Meeting Minutes.
President Harris referred to item 1. Mr. Tamez made a motion to approve the
minutes as presented, seconded by Mr. Wilson, and passed unanimously.

President Harris referred to Item 2. Assistant Director of Financial Services
Alma Casas presented the financial reports as of July 31, 2020.
A board member requested the sales tax report be separated to show how
much is allocated to each component and added to the presentation.

3. 20-1144 Resolution amending and reaffirming the Corpus Christi Business and
Job Development Corporation's Investment Policy and Investment
Strategy for the Fiscal Year 2020-2021
President Harris referred to Item 3. Assistant Director of Financial Services
Alma Casas said the purpose of this item is to approve the resolution amending
and reaffirming the Corpus Christi B Corporation's investment policies and
investment strategies for fiscal year 2020-2021.
Mr. Tamez made a motion approving item 3, seconded by Mr. Valls and passed
unanimously.
4. 20-1146 Resolution Amending Authorized Representatives in the TexPool
Investment Pool to reflect recent changes in Investment Officers.

President Harris referred to Item 4. Assistant Director of Financial Services
Alma Casas said the purpose of this item is to approve a resolution amending
authorized representatives in the TexPool Investment Pool to reflect recent
changes in investment officers.
Mr. Wilson made a motion approving item 4, seconded by Mr. Tamez and
passed unanimously.
Motion approving Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement between the
Corpus Christi Business and Job Development Corporation and the City
of Corpus Christi for Type A Affordable Housing Program - Homebuyer
Assistance Program to extend the term of this agreement to September
30, 2021.
President Harris referred to Item 5. Director of Housing and Community
Development Rudy Bentancourt said the purpose of this item is to present
Amendment No. 2, Home Buyer Assistance Program. The agreement for
administration of the program was executed on April 1, 2018. The first 12
months extension occurred with Amendment No. 1, was executed in November
2019, and is set to expire in September 2020. Amendment No. 2 will extend the
agreement to September 30, 2021 and allow the remaining balance of
$53,149.22 to be fully expended. The home buyer assistance program is
administered by the Housing and Community Department and the program
offers up to $10,000 for down payment assistance for the purchase of a home in
Corpus Christi.
Mr. Valls made a motion approving item 5, seconded by Mr. Wilson and passed

President Harris referred to the Executive Director comments. Chief Financial
Officer Constance Sanchez stated there were no comments.

President Harris referred to the Future Agenda Items. Chief Financial Officer
Constance Sanchez stated there were no comments.
There being no further business, President Harris adjourned the meeting at
4:16 p.m.

description in the Executive Session portion of this agenda constitutes a written interpretation of Chapter 551 of the Texas
Local Government Code by the attorney for this corporation indicating that said subject or description thereof maybe legally
discussed in a closed meeting.
This meeting may be held via videoconference call pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.127. If this meeting is held via
videoconference call or other remote method of meeting, then a member of this governmental body presiding over this
meeting will be physically present at the location of this meeting unless this meeting is held pursuant to Texas Government
Code § 551.125 due to an emergency or other public necessity pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.045.
