Melody Cooper presented an overview of the Sister

one of the committees which the city would like to
remove as an official city committee (the city is
planning on removing several committees) in
December. She stated she would like to keep it as is, as
she considers it an active committee. She stated she had
spoken to all of the city council and the Mayor about
keeping it as an official city committee.
Teresa explained the Sister City Committee Program
would continue to exist, along with the Mayor's
initiatives, with or without official city council
appointments to the committee. The City would still
provide $6,000 per year. The only difference is that the
committee would not have to wait on City Council to
vote in members to the committee.
