Vickee Soliz, Jackie Torres Public Present: None I. Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Connie Bowen at 1233 p.m. II. Roll Call of Members Roll was called, and a quorum was confirmed. III. Discussion and Approval of Minutes from September 161h. 2020 Sharon Ray motioned to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously. IV. Discussion and Approval of Absences from September 16!,M None V. Department Presentation and Discussion Region 11 Zoonosis Report — Mr. Skidmore was not present and was not reviewed Current Shelter Report and Clinic Report — Vickee Soliz went over the CCACS Comparison Shelter Report. Live Release rate for dogs 2019 95.02% / 2020 96.00%. Live Release for cats 75.89% in 2019 75.89% / 2020 88.10%. For "Other" it was 39 in 2019 and 0 in 2020. The total Live Release (Dogs/Cats) 2019 87.96% / 2020 94.47%. The Violation Summary totals for 2019 265 / 2020 540. Bite Case (Dog/Cats) in 2019 95 / 2020 114. Calls for Service (Dogs/Cats/Other) in 2019 1751 / 2020 2,236. Cats Average Length of Stay in 2019 28 days / 2020 4 days. Dogs Average Length of Stay in 2019 11 days / 2020 13 days. Clinic Report Total (Dogs/Cats) 147 in 2019/ 2020 52. Microchip report in 2019 189 / 2020 12. City License Report in 2019 549 / 2020 514. Program Manager Update—Mr. Skidmore was not present. Ms. Bowen acknowledged the increase in citations for Unlawful tethering. Ms. Gibeaut inquired if the Vet Clinic was fully staffed. Ms. Soliz responded, explaining that we did hire a new Vet Tech that was previously an intern. Ms. Bowen inquired if we anticipated on increasing spay/neuters. Ms. Soliz explained it was a vacancy that had been needed. There were Animal Control Officers and Kennel Techs assisting in the clinic instead of their regular job duties and now we will have a new Vet Tech to fill that need. Ms. Bowen inquired on the cost difference of the city licenses verses a microchip regarding a Microchip Ordinance. Ms. Torres advised that the city license is either $6 for a 1 year and $12 for a 3 year. The Microchip that is used by CCACS is $15 and is a one-time fee verses the $6 and the $12 that have to be renewed. It is unknown at this time if or when CCACS will have another free microchipping event. Ms. Ray offered to assist with a drive thin chipping event if CCACS provide the microchips. Ms. Gibeaut motioned to have a timeline identified on when the CCACS Ordinances that were approved and reviewed by CCPD will be added to the Agenda for City Council. VIII. Public Comments WONT' IX.
