responded, explaining that we did hire a new Vet Tech that was previously an intern. Ms. Bowen
inquired if we anticipated on increasing spay/neuters. Ms. Soliz explained it was a vacancy that had
been needed. There were Animal Control Officers and Kennel Techs assisting in the clinic instead
of their regular job duties and now we will have a new Vet Tech to fill that need. Ms. Bowen inquired
on the cost difference of the city licenses verses a microchip regarding a Microchip Ordinance. Ms.
Torres advised that the city license is either $6 for a 1 year and $12 for a 3 year. The Microchip that
is used by CCACS is $15 and is a one-time fee verses the $6 and the $12 that have to be renewed. It
is unknown at this time if or when CCACS will have another free microchipping event. Ms. Ray
