Call to Order- at 4:35 pm by Joseph Miller, Chairperson II. Roll Call of Members – Lisa Oliver Present: Joseph Miller, Clarissa Mora, Melissa Sweeting, Laurie Garcia, and Priscilla Baldilez Absent: None Staff: Lisa Oliver - Superintendent III. Minutes from September 16, 2019 – 1st Clarissa Mora, 2nd Melissa Sweeting, all approved. IV. Public Comment • None V. New Business for Discussion and Possible Action • Overview of Commission Composition & Purpose – referred to the City ordinance for background on changes made to the Commission by City Council. • Review and Action on Member Reappointments – The members eligible for reappointment accepted to serve again: Clarissa Mora and Laura Garcia. The names will be forwarded to the City Secretary’s Office for further action. • Update and Action on Committee Vacancies – Members discussed the applications submitted thru the City Secretary’s Office. The members tabled making a recommendation for further review and to see if additional applications were to be submitted for categories still having vacancies. The item is slated to be presented by the City Secretary’s Office at the July 14th City Council meeting for action on vacancies and reappointments. An option was for the Committee to have an emergency meeting to make their recommendations and submit to the City Secretary’s Office for consideration. VI. Old Business for Discussion and Possible Action • Commission Master Plan and Goals – Tabled for next meeting. VII. Staff Liaison Report – Lisa Oliver • Program Updates provided on programs being offered by the Department and the COVID-19 protocols implemented. VIII. Identify Items to be placed on next Agenda • The consensus by members was to conduct virtual meetings until further notice. IX. Adjournment @ 5:26 pm – Motion to adjourn by Priscilla Baldillez and seconded by Laura Garcia, all approved.
