MINUTES
I. Call to Order- at 4:41 pm by Clarissa Mora, Vice-Chairperson.
II. Roll Call of Members – Lisa Oliver
1. Review and Possible Action on Absences: Dr. L. Turner – excused absence for today’s
meeting.
2. Introduction of New Members – none
III. Approval of Minutes
• June 22, 2020 – Motion made by Melissa Sweeting, 2nd by Priscilla Baldillez; all
approved.
• August 26, 2020- Motion made by Priscilla Baldillez, 2nd by Melissa Sweeting; all
approved.
IV. Public Comment (by written statement or via telephone callback) – None
V. New Business for Discussion and Possible Action – Clarissa Mora
1. Update and Action of Committee Vaccines – Committee members volunteered to contact
the local ISD’s to inform them of the vacancies available in the following areas: West Oso
ISD, Flour Bluff ISD, Charter School (any). L Oliver, staff, would contact the District
Attorney’s Office.
2. Review & Discussion of Amended Committee Purpose and Past Master Plans – The
Committee would review and discuss at next meeting. Staff did provide members with the
Youth Assessment Survey done by the City of San Antonio. Staff requested to provide
the members with the CCY Master Plans from 1997 and 2003.
VI. Old Business for Discussion and Possible Action - None
VII. Staff Liaison Report – Lisa Oliver
1. Department Update – Cielo De La Cerda, student intern, introduced; provided an update
on After Hour Kid Power (formerly Latchkey) resuming at local elementary schools;
Athletic programs being offered for the Fall.
VIII. Identify Items to be places on next Agenda
1. Vacancies update
2. Master Plan Discussion
3. Next Meeting – Oct 28 @ 4:30p.m.
IX. Meeting adjourned at 5:14 p.m. with a motion made by Melissa Sweeting, 2nd by Liesl Cressman;
all approved.
