516th CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING

Chairperson Guy Nickleson called the meeting to order at 9:20 AM.
Chairperson Guy Nickleson read Item #1 from the agenda.
Item #1: Review and approve the minutes of the 516th Civil Service Commission meeting
held October 16, 2020.
Chairperson Guy Nickleson made motion to approve the minutes and Board Member Gerald
Avila seconded. All Members agreed.
Eyvon McHaney reads Agenda Item42.
Item #2: Review and consider the appeal submitted by Firefighter II: Marshall Hisaw for
question # 2 on the Fire Fighter II — EMS promotional examination administered
on September 29, 2020.

Eyvon McHaney reads Agenda Item #3.
Item #3: Review and consider the appeal submitted by Firefighter II, Marshall Hisaw for
question # 32 on the Fire Fighter II - EMS promotional examination administered
on September 29, 2020.
Brittney Latka reads the question being appealed, all possible answers for the question, and the
recommended action given by the test creator to deny appeals — Keyed Answer: A (1) moistened;
(2) dry.
No one was present to speak on behalf of Item 93.
Chairperson Guy Nickleson announced that the meeting went into closed session at 9:30 AM
pursuant to the authority Section 551.074 of Texas Open Meetings Act to discuss the appeals.
At 9:34 AM Chairperson Guy Nickleson announced that the meeting was back on the record.
Chairperson Guy Nickleson made a motion to deny the appeal for Item #2.
Commission Member Gerald Avila seconded. All Members agreed with the decision.
Chairperson Guy Nickleson announced the following: Item # 2- Appeal Denied.
Chairperson Guy Nickleson made a motion to deny the appeal for Item #3. Commission
Member Gerald Avila seconded. All Members agreed with the decision.
Chairperson Guy Nickleson announced the following: Item # 3- Appeal Denied.
Chairperson Guy Nickleson adjourned the meeting at 9:53 AM.
