Call to order
Pat Eldridge called the meeting to order at 2:09 p.m.
Welcome new Board Members
Each board member introduced themselves and shared a little bit about themselves.
Election of new officers
Fred Edler motioned to nominate Jim Kaelin for President. David Gonzalez seconded the motion. The motion passed
6/0. Curtis Clark motioned to nominate himself for Vice President. Jim Kaelin seconded the motion. The motion
passed 6/0. Marshal Tong motioned to nominate himself for Secretary. Curtis Clark seconded the motion. The
motion passed 6/0.
Approval of Minutes
Curtis Clark motioned to approve the minutes for June 17, 2020. Marshal Tong seconded the motion. The motion
passed 6/0.
Review of notebooks distributed
6 new board members were given their notebooks. Pat Eldridge reviewed it with them.
Overview of FY2021 Budget and FY2022 Budget Calendar
Pat Eldridge reviewed the FY2021 Budget and FY2022 Budget calendar with the board members. She noted the
proposed FY22 budget first draft will be distributed at the April 21 board meeting.
Report from the Chief of Police
Officers have been busy the last year due to the pandemic, hurricane, and winter storm, amongst their normal duties.
The Police Department also does a lot of outreach and is very community oriented. Spring Break is going on and th e
island is busy.
Crime Report
Captain McMenamy presented the crime report. Violent crimes are down 33.33%. Robbery to businesses are down
significantly. Individual robberies are down 9 cases overall. Aggravated assaults are up 26 cases and 6.88% f or the
year. Total violent crimes is only up 4.27%. Non -Violent crimes are down 1.07%.
City Auditor Report
Kimberly Houston introduced herself as the Interim -City Auditor. No City Auditor Report
Finance Director Report
Heather Hurlbert, Director of Finance presented the financial report ending February 28, 2021.
• Sales Tax – Budgeted for $6.8 million and amount collected is at $3.1 million
• Summary of Expenditures - $6.9 million budgeted for Operational Expenses

Jim Kaelin motioned to adjourn the meeting at 3:09 pm. The motion passed unanimously, 5/0.
