TO THE
CDBG-CV SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
AND
THE SALVATION ARMY-COASTAL BEND
This First Amendment ("First Amendment") is made by and between the City of Corpus
Christi ("City") and The Salvation Army-Coastal Bend ("Subrecipient").
WHEREAS, the City and the Subrecipient entered into a Subrecipient Funding
Agreement in FY2019 which was approved by the Corpus Christi City Council on April
21, 2020 ("Agreement"). The Agreement is for the purpose of utilizing the City's FY2019
Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus Response ("CDBG-CV") funds for a
project entitled Quarantine Motel Voucher Program ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, Subrecipient has requested the City to include persons at high risk of
contracting Covid-19 as an eligible activity under the existing funding for the Project in
addition to persons who have contracted Covid-19; and
WHEREAS, the City included the public service activity to provide a quarantine location
for citizens who have tested positive for COVID-19 and cannot quarantine in their
residence, as well as citizens who are at a high risk of contracting COVID-19 for the
Quarantine Motel Voucher Program for FY2019 effective June 19, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the public service is an eligible activity under the FY 2019 CDBG-CV funding
and meets Citizen Participation Plan requirements as set out herein; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to execute this First Amendment to express their
mutual desire to reaffirm all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original
Agreement, as amended herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual covenants stated herein
and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is
hereby acknowledged, the City and Subrecipient hereby agree as follows:
Section 1. By execution of this First Amendment, the parties agree to reaffirm and
continue in force all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement,
as amended herein, to include persons who are at high risk of contracting Covid-19 into
the Project.
