CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Coretta Graham at 1:54pm in the Council Chambers on
the first floor of City Hall.

A motion was made by Catherine Giffin and seconded by Joe Ortiz to approve the absences
of the Regular Meeting of May 27, 2021. A roll call vote was taken, and the motion passed
unanimously.
V. MINUTES
A motion was made by Joe Ortiz and seconded by Catherine Giffin to approve the minutes of
the Regular Meeting of May 27, 2021. A roll call vote was taken, and the motion passed
unanimously.
VI. STAFF REPORT
The Staff Report was presented to the Board for discussion and information regarding cases
from May 27, 2021 to present. A motion was made by David Foster seconded by Joe Ortiz to
approve the staff report. A roll call vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously.
VII. PUBLIC COMMENT
A motion was made by Coretta Graham to open the floor for public comment. As there was
no response, Coretta Graham closed the public comment.
VIII. OLD BUSINESS
1. 2713 Mary was pulled as old business. They will be brought before the board at the
September 23`^, 2021 hearing.

4429 Hackberry Ln.. Demolition Residence (Griffin W R Bluebonnet 1.062 acs out
of Lt4
Staff Recommendation: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration.
Appearing in Favor: No one.
Appearing in Opposition: Sylvia Presas (close friend to deceased owner)
Motion:
A motion was made by Catherine Giffin and seconded by David Foster to accept the staff
recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13-22(H)
(1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be
allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the
structure(s) located at 4429 Hackberry Lo.. Demolition Residence !Griffin W R
Bluebonnet 1.062 acs out of Lt4) If the demolition is not started and completed as
required, then the City is authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed
unanimously.
2. 916 Waco St, Demolition Residence (Bluff Blk 36 LOT 91
Staff Recommendation: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration.
Appearing in Favor: Gaylor Jackson Taylor (sister to the deceased)
Appearing in Opposition: No one.
Motion:
A motion was made by Pete Cavazos and seconded by David Foster to accept the staff
recommendation and require demolition of the stmcture(s) according to Section 13-22(H)
(1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be
allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the

If the demolition is not started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to
demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously.

Staff Recommendation: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration.

Appearing in Opposition: No one.
Motion:
A motion was made by Catherine Giffin and seconded by Pete Cavazos to accept the staff
recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13-22(1-I)
(1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be
allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the
structure(s) located at 1902 Comanche St.. Demolition Residence (Priour TR Lt H-1),
If the demolition is not started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to
demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously

Staff Recommendation: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration.

Appearing in Opposition: No one.
Motion:
A motion was made by David Foster and seconded by Joe Ortiz to accept the staff
recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13-22(11)
(1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be
allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the
structure(s) located at 2817 Moore St.. Demolition Residence (Nueces Bay His Lts 25
and 26 Bk 51. If the demolition is not started and completed as required, then the City is
authorized to demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously.
5. 224 Spruce., Demolition Residence (Monte Vista Blk 2 Lt 12)
Staff Recommendation: To require demolition due to the extent of deterioration.
Appearing in Favor: No one.
Appearing in Opposition: No one.
Motion:
A motion was made by Pete Cavazos and seconded by Catherine Giffin to accept the staff
recommendation and require demolition of the structure(s) according to Section 13-22(H)
(1) (c) of the Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code in which the owner will be
allowed thirty (30) days to obtain proper permits and complete the demolition of the
structure(s) located a[ 224 Spruce.. Demolition Residence (Monte Vista Blk 2 Lt 121
If the demolition is not started and completed as required, then the City is authorized to
demolish. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously.
X. ANNUAL REPORT
Diana will be inquiring with Norma Duran from the city secretary's office in regard to the
form that needs to be signed. She will be emailing the form.
M. IDENTIFYING ITEMS FOR FUTURE AGENDA
No new items to identify. Next meeting will be held September 23, 2021.
XII. ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made David Foster and seconded by Joe Ortiz to adjourn the hearing at
3:11 P.M. on July22, 2021. A roll call vote was taken and passed unanimously.
