Roll Call Roll was called and a quorum was present. Present: 11 - Paul A. Cameron Jr., Kusumakar Sooda, Karl Tomlinson, Randall Hicks, Hans Schumann, John LaRue, Ted J. Mandel, 1st Vice Chair Donald Feferman, Brett Oetting, Iain Vasey, and Chair Jon Reily Absent: 1 - Luis F. Buentello C. Public Comment Second Vice-Chairman Mandel commented to the members that he would not be seeking reappointment to the Board. D. Approval of Minutes and Action on Absences Board member Cameron was absent from the February Special-called meeting. Board member Hicks moved to excuse Board member Cameron. General Updates 3. 22-0%346� Airport Council International Award Attachments: 03302022-AiLggEL Council International Award On March 1 Oth, Airport Council International announced that out of 400 participating airports in 95 countries, Corpus Christi International Airport was#1 for the "Beat Hygiene Measures in North America" of similar airport. CC|Aa|ao finished #8 in the world in overall customer satisfaction; #5 in North America in overall customer satisfaction and #1 inTexas inoverall customer satisfaction. 4. 22-0348 World Routes Conference Attachments: 03302022-World Routes Conference This conference will beheld inLas Vegas, NVfrom October 1Oto18. 2O22. This conference provides exclusive face-to-face meetings with a selection of 200 airlines. It is expected that 3,000 delegates will be attending along with 700 airport from 110 countries. Details are ad|| inthe works including getting board members to participate. 5' 22-0%34K9 Board Member Terms Attachments: Terms-08232021 Aspreadsheet ofthe board members' terms was presented. 6. 22-03K50 Southwest, American & JG}( Airline Meetings Director Smith reported onanupcoming trip toOFVV/OALonApril 5th. After successful "Fly Local Pledge" announcement with City Council, CCIA was invited to meet with Southwest Airlines employees atGVVAHeadquarters inDallas. CC|Astaff will also meet with American Airlines onthe same day. Discussion topics toinclude: new routes; pricing; leakage; Denver/Charlotte service; bigger plans. They will also be meeting with JG}(. Staff will pursue similar meeting with United after summer. 7. 22-0351_ GCAGOPGrant Director Smith reported this is a Small Community Air Service Development grant. The Airport will besubmitting agrant for revenue guarantee. The grant submittal will be for$1.3M. 8. 22®0352 Cargo Update Director Smith updated the members on the cargo going through the Airport. The items are as follows: Outbound (50% seafood, 20% machine parts, 15% human remains, 15% biological shipments); Inbound (50% flowers, 15% live tropical fish, 15% seafood, 10% human remains, 10% biological shipments). Monthly Reports 9. 22®0353 Monthly Service Update Attachments: 03302022-Air Service Update Director Smith presented the Air Service update with February 2022's numbers showing the impact by pilot shortages, capacity has trended upward over past month. CCIA's numbers comparable to or better versus other regional airports. CCIA numbers compared to similar size airport near a beach. He presented a graph of US airports following trends, excluding (mostly) large coastal airports. Also presented were peak "beach" markets continuing to outperform while AUS (Austin) has come back strong versus earlier pandemic numbers. He also reported on most US airports are following similar trends, excluding (mostly) large coastal airports. Graphs were also presented showing Ultra Low Cost Carriers (ULCCs) continuing being more aggressive with capacity, although network airlines having a narrow gap. More information on the CCIA market retention was presented. 10. 22®0356 General Activity Report (GAR) Attachments: 03302022- Director 3302022-Director Smith presented the General Activity Report information. 11. 22®0357 Financial Report Attachments: 03232022- Financial Reports Kimberly Miller, Airport Finance Manager, reported on the financials for February, 2022. 12. 22®0358 Marketing Report Attachments: 03302022- Marketing Report 03302022- Flv Local Pledge Update Elsy Borgstedte, Assistant Director of Aviation, reported on the Airport's marketing efforts along with the "Fly Local Pledge" ongoing campaign. She also reported on the new, interactive art mural that is going up in the terminal. 13. 22®0608 Construction Report City of Corpus Christi Page 3 Printed on 4/22/2022 Airport Board Meeting Minutes -Final March 30,2022 Attachments: 03302022-Construction Repan Tyler Miller, Deputy Director of Aviation, reported on all on-going construction projects at the Airport. H. Items for next Airport Board Meeting No items were not presented. I. Adjournment As there was no further business, Chairman Riley adjourned the meeting at 5:03 p.m. This meeting may be held via videoconference call pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.127. If this meeting is held via videoconference call or other remote method of meeting, then a member of this governmental body presiding over this meeting will be physically present at the location of this meeting unless this meeting is held pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.125 due to an emergency or other public necessity pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551.045.
