SCP – Director Report
• Over the last 3-year grant cycle we have had 81 Companions working for the program.
• In January 2022 we spent 10,726.18 on stipends. (Includes meal and mileage reimbursement).
• 54 Senior Companions worked 2,650.50 hours in January 2022.
• Community savings of $42,408.00 (based on average caregiver pay of $16.00 per hr.)
• Year to date we have spent $277,264.22 on stipends. (Includes meal and mileage reimbursement).
• Year to date 67 Senior Companions worked 70,095.43 hours.
• Community savings of $1,121,526.88 (based on average caregiver pay of $16.00 per hour, as per Area
Agency on Aging)
• In a 3-year grant cycle we have spent $827,951.90. (Includes meal and mileage reimbursement).
• In a 3-year grant cycle 81 Senior Companions worked 233,426.84 hours.
• Community savings of $3,734,829.44 (based on average caregiver pay of $16.00 per hr.)
• Our grant renewal will be due April 30, 2022.

SCP - Director Report
• Recognition scheduled at Garden Senior Center on May 25th. We invite Lisa Oliver and the New Director
to attend.
• Devoted Hospice will in-service Companions on the benefits of Therapy animals and the elderly. They are
bringing 2 miniature ponies to the in service.
• July in-service at Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation
• August in-service hosted by PAMS Hospital.
• 9/11 Day of Service-Tentative date Friday 9.09.2022. Board is invited to go to the police department to
donate food for the 911 dispatchers shifts 1 and 2. This is the 3rd year recognizing 911 dispatchers.
