ANIMAL CARE ADVISORY MEETING

The meeting was called to order by Jarvis Amaya at 12:32 p.m.

IV. Discussion and Approval of Minutes from Amil 20te 2022
Ms. Parker motioned to approve. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
V. Discussion and Anproval of Absences from April 201' 2022
Ms. ChopeIas motioned to approve. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
VI. Department Presentation and Discussion
Region 11 Zoonosis Report — Mr. Skidmore reviewed the most recent Zoonosis Quarterly report
published in March 2022. Mr. Skidmore also mentioned we are preparing for Mosquito season.
Current Shelter Report and Clinic Report — Joel Skidmore went over the CCACS Comparison
Shelter Report for April 2021/2022. Ms. Parker inquired in situations where citizens are selling
animala at a shopping center and CCPD arrives, issue citations, if those appear on our report. Mr.
Skidmore explained that CCPD does not always advise on what citations they issue in those cases
and would not appear on the report presented. W. Skidmore also explained that a high tum over rate
and currentACO's being new is contributing to the lowernumbers in the citations written. Ms. Parker
inquired on the lower surgeries for April 2022. Mr. Skidmore advised Dr. Draper had been out sick.
Mr. Smith inquired on the Foster report. Mr. Skidmore explained it had been taking out with an
Chameleon update but is in the process of having it added back. Mr. Smith inquired on Pet Harbor
and the volunteers that take pictures. Mr. Skidmore explained that Pet Harbor was bought out by
another company and the volunteers come to take pictures at their own leisure and volunteer area is
available to all volunteers. Mr. Skidmore added how reports are pulled and how accurate and factual
numbers are reported, and any questions or concerns should be directed to him personally.
Program Manager Update — Mr. Skidmore introduced Kennel Lead Mia Burbage. He addressed
the board with a list of volunteer opportunities. Mia went over a printout of remote and onsite
volunteering duties. Mr. Smith and Mr. Amaya suggested media outlets to share volunteering duties.
Ms. Parker suggested members in the senior community to assist with making toys, blankets, etc.
Ms. Chopelas inquired on the top 3 areas that were needed in volunteer duties. Ms. Burbage replied
with Networking, Play Groups, smaller duties, scooping yards, doing dishes, laundry, allow
additional time for Kennel Staff to assist citizens.

• Euthanization Report — Mr. Skidmore went over the report for April 2022. The animals Euthanized
were due to being sick or injured. No animals were euthanized for space.
